U.S. Program
Three students, whose parents or stepparents are U.S. BAC members, are selected annually to receive a stipend of $2,500 per year for up to four years. The program is open to sons and daughters of U.S. members who are now in their junior year of high school, and who plan to take or have taken the standardized “PSAT” exam in October 2008. The application deadline is February 28, 2009.
The U.S. Bates Scholarship program is administered through the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC). Winners will be notified by NMSC in March 2010.

(NOTE: To apply, the BAC parent’s six-digit IU number and BAC Local Union # and state(s) must be provided.)

Read the scholarship program brochure in its entirety (confirm that you have read and understand the program procedures by marking the check box at the bottom of the page).

Confirm that your child meets all participation requirements for the 2009 competition by marking the appropriate check boxes.

Complete the Bates Scholarship Program Entry Form.

Review the Entry Form for completeness and accuracy, read the Submission Agreement and submit your child’s Entry Form.

Print and retain a copy of the “Submission Confirmation” for your records.
