Local 4 Quebec Member to the Rescue

Thanks to the quick thinking and bravery of Local 4 Quebec member and foreman Guy Blanchette, fellow member Frederic Rodriguez escaped serious injury following a jobsite accident on November 25th.
According to Local 4 Business Manager Maurice Mongeon, Rodriguez was “finishing up his work when suddenly the scaffold above him collapsed with all its bricks.” Without hesitation, Blanchette rushed to free Rodriguez from the debris despite the risk of being injured himself. Although emergency services arrived on the scene shortly after, “due to the rapid intervention of Brother Blanchette,” said Mongeon, “Brother Rodriguez was safe.”
A grateful Rodriguez said he would never be able to thank his coworker enough “for the courageous act that probably saved my life,” a sentiment echoed by Mongeon, who added, “The members of Local 4 join me in saluting the bravery of Guy Blanchette and his heroic gesture on behalf of Brother Rodriguez.”
