Local 1 Newfoundland Honors 40-Year Members

On August 14th, Local 1 Newfoundland recognized nine 40-year members at its annual service awards dinner in St. John’s. IU Secretary-Treasurer James Boland addressed the gathering at the invitation of Local 1 NL Business Manager John Leonard.
Before joining Business Manager Leonard in presenting the service awards, Secretary-Treasurer Boland congratulated the honorees, and expressed the appreciation of the entire IU Executive Board for their “longtime commitment, dedication and service to the Union.”
Founded in 1904, Local 1 NL affiliated with the IU in 1951, and now proudly represents all the BAC crafts.
