The John J. Flynn BAC/IMI International Training Center fulfills two long-held BAC goals: providing more services for BAC members and Locals, and strengthening masonry's position against competing materials and trades, including the non-union sector.
The 25-acre campus in Bowie, Maryland is conveniently located between Washington, D.C. and Baltimore. With more than 240,000 square feet of training, classroom and office space, the two-building complex includes a two-story Training Center, and a three-story Conference Center with dorm rooms, recreation facilities, cafeteria, and meeting rooms.
The Training Center features an open bay to allow for flexible class setups. It also houses classrooms and design studios where educational programs that highlight the advantages of masonry and BAC's commitment to quality will be available to architects, construction managers, and contractors.
All BAC crafts are represented in the buildings' design as well, so that visitors can experience the full portfolio just by walking around and looking at both the buildings and the living classrooms inside.
