IUBAC Applauds New Infrastructure Plan Released by Joe Biden, Former Vice President and Democratic Candidate for President

[Washington, D.C.] November 14, 2019 – The International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers applauds the $1.3 trillion infrastructure plan, released today by Joe Biden, Former Vice President and Democratic candidate for President.

Says IUBAC President James Boland, “The plan aims to create not just jobs, but good, union jobs that would benefit millions of working families and expand the middle class. While creating and sustaining quality, middle-class jobs, the plan also addresses the devastating impacts of climate change to meet the changing needs of a net-zero greenhouse-gas-emissions economy. Furthermore, it is encouraging to see that this plan includes $100 billion investment to modernize our nation’s public schools, in line with Rebuild America’s Schools Act, backed by the House Education Committee, IUBAC, and many other international and national organizations.”
