We Must Unite As One Nation

[Washington, D.C] International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers (BAC) President Timothy J. Driscoll issued the following statement today after the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump:

"This evening President Joseph R. Biden called on Americans to 'unite as one nation' following the unimaginable assassination attempt on former President Donald J. Trump. 'There's no place in America for violence in our politics,' said President Biden. 'We'll debate and we'll have strong disagreements, we’ll compete on ideas and records, but we resolve our difference at the ballot box, not with violence. The rule of law must be respected.'

“I urge politicians of both parties and all Americans to follow the lead of President Biden. We must unite as one nation to demonstrate who we are as Americans. Any public figure that attempts to capitalize on this tragic event for political gain forfeits the right to participate in governing our country.”
